This 70-minute feature explores female rock-icon, Chrissie Hynde’s creation and performance of the music of one of the most celebrated artists of our time, Bob Dylan.

Breaking through onto the music scene in London in the 1970s and rising to cultural prominence after founding The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde is one of the most prolific artists of her generation, known for her no-nonsense approach to making music and art.

Now, in a re-shaped world, dealing with challenges thrown-down by a global pandemic, Chrissie Hynde is no less active in her creations. After 50 paintings and 50 weeks in lockdown, Chrissie recorded 10 Bob Dylan covers in her trademark style, evoking brand new emotion to Dylan’s genre-defining music.

Narrated entirely by Chrissie herself through a series of new interviews, a unique insight into the influential artist surfaces, as Chrissie lifts the curtain on her motivation behind creating the cover versions and reveals the dedicated craft that lies behind the creative process that has been the defining feature of her versatile and varied career in music.

The film is fully authorised by Bob Dylan and includes special performance by Chrissie Hynde of Dylan’s greatest works including Blind Willie McTell, You’re A Big Now, In The Summertime, Standing In The Doorway, Don’t Fall Apart On Me Tonight, Tomorrow Is A long Time, Sweetheart Like You and Love Minus Zero.
