White Light release a slew of brand new music programming for Mipcom 2024
White Light Distribution brings to MIPCOM 2024 its largest slate of brand-new music film production yet.
White Light’s new release slate includes new concert films from Bryan Adams, Louis Tomlinson, Alicia Keys, Eric Clapton, Liam Gallagher, Placebo and the last filmed concert from The Specials as well as ‘Mr Jimmy’, a captivating documentary about Japanese guitarist Akio Sakurai’s extraordinary journey, as he dedicates his life to honouring rock musician Jimmy Page, recreating vintage Led Zeppelin concerts note-for-note in small Tokyo clubs. This enthralling film received Led Zeppelin’s blessing and features a wealth of original Led Zeppelin footage and music.
White Light will also be introducing a new production of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ starring Ralph Fiennes; Matthew Bourne’s ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and ‘La Traviata: A Chamber Work’,
in addition to new music documentary films ‘Placebo: This Search For Meaning’, ‘Born To Be Wild: The Story of Steppenwolf’, ‘Midnight Oil: The Hardest Line’ and a re-release of The Who’s pioneering film, ‘The Kids Are Alright’.
