ELECTRIFYING. ROUSING. ENGAGING.

2024 marks the 45th Anniversary of the film US Theatrical Release: 15 June 1979

This pioneering rock music documentary combines US TV footage, television appearances and production crew- and fan-shot footage of rock legends The Who - on tour, in the studio and in their daily lives from 1964 until just before drummer Keith Moon's death in September 1978.

The film includes historic performances at Woodstock, guitar smashing on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and career-spanning hits from My Generation to Pinball Wizard and Baba O’Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again and Who Are You.

The film set new standards in music documentary film and paved the way for all future rock documentaries to come. It was the first and remains the best.
