Olivier Award-winning interpretation of Tchaikovsky's beloved tale, retaining all the iconic elements with a spellbinding originality. First seen in 1995, Matthew Bourne’s iconic Swan Lake was revived and re-made in 2019. In his re-imagining of the classic tale, Matthew Bourne's witty and beautifully disturbing version of the prince's dark spiral into derangement is danced by a menacing and animalistic male ensemble, creating a darker ambiance for the production. The dancers tell the tale of a lonely prince, with a distant mother and not a friend in the world. As the prince yearns for freedom, it comes to him in an unlikely way, through a swan.

Filmed live at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake stars Will Bozier as The Swan/The Stranger, Liam Mower as The Prince and Nicole Kabera as The Queen.
