Atmospheric 1996 live show finds George "Buddy" Guy backed by the Saturday Night Live Band, playing a nine-song set at his own Legends night club in Chicago, Illinois.
There is no hard rock riffing here, this is Buddy the bluesman with superb backing from former Chuck Berry-pianist Johnnie Johnson, whose solo on the T-Bone Walker-like I've Got News For You is one of several instrumental highlights.
The show features superb blues renditions of Sweet Black Angel , as well as Elmore James' classic Talk To Me, Baby (I Can't Hold Out) , I've Got My Eyes On You, My Time After A While, First Time I Met The Blues and a superb version of Willie Dixon's Let Me Love You.
